Corey.....

"From this light, you somewhat resemble David Duchovny."
(Someone name that movie and I will honestly send you a prize)

So Corey has been training in Cedar City this past week.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

My heart is pretty huge to begin with so it runneth over with fondness at the moment.

He surprises me all the time with his cleverness.

One thing you should know about my husband is his inability to memorize or recall any song lyrics whatsoever.

He does a lot of humming.

Needless to say I was totally astonished when he recited all the lyrics to
TLC's "Don't Go Chasing Waterfalls".

This was a couple weeks ago while cruising in the Trail Blazer.

Word for Word.

Random.

What concerned me most though was that the song was even on the radio.

I kept a straight face the whole time.

Well, up until he tapped me on the arm and declared,
"Take it away Left Eye."

I freaking love you Corey Johnson.

You chase those Waterfalls.

P.s. Jill why don't you just leave me your new address. I am pretty sure you'll be the first to get my quote.

Old Friends, New Friends, Red Friends, Blue Friends....

Boo ya! The lovely Deborah gave me a friendship award this week!

Once a client, now a friend.
Her Son is currently in Iraq serving our country.
I think we should all be grateful for soldiers like him on a daily basis.
We should pray for their brave families that are without them and missing them,
while they defend our country and our freedoms.
I love when she comes in to visit me.
I love how proud she is of PFC Ryan.
Honestly I am proud of this young man who has made drastic changes
and now chooses to serve in this capacity.
Because of her and her handsome son,
I make a conscious effort every day to be thankful for our soldiers.
Hoo Ha! Let's return the favor and,
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS!!

Here are the rules;

"These blogs are exceedingly charming. The kind of bloggers that aim to be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of the prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to bloggers who must choose more and include this cleverly written text into the body of their award".

Now I pass the "Friendship Award" torch to the following Blog Mamas'

Holla at me Jill you are so clever.
It's a compliment Jen, you are so inspiring.
You make me laugh Sarah Harrold.

Today

I got a churro from Del Taco.

For 2 seconds I thought I was at DisneyLand.

No Joke.

Then it reminded me of this awesome picture of Corey.

Delighting in his first D-Land churro.

And Because I love him so much, I choose not to post the picture of him devouring his first D-Land Turkey Leg.

Your welcome, Corey.

Awake Is The New Sleep.

While trying to power through my insomnia I remembered a conversation I once shared with a client.

She Said, "Krystle it's been a rough year for us. Both my husband and I have had a Mid-life crisis."

I Said, "Did you guys get everything figured out?"

To which she responded, "Oh ya. I found Jesus. He bought a Harley."

I personally found Jesus a long time ago.

But ironically last year Corey bought a Harley.

Last month when we were in Arizona Corey begged Ivy to go on a short ride around the block.

She declined.

He pleaded.

She declined once more.

I then convinced her just to sit on the back and let me take a picture.

She should've known when I put the helmet on her that she would be doing more than posing on the bike.

I then told Corey to just drive around the block. What was she going to do jump off?

Look at her face in this picture as he is slowly driving away. It's my favorite. So Ivy.

Oh ya and if you were wondering:

Yes, the sissy bar, saddlebags and luggage rack were all gifts for my birthday last year.

Oh happy day.

P.S. Ivy is wearing my Vans in the top picture. No her feet aren't freakishly big.

and, oh my love you're all i need.....

Stop the press.

We found gainful employment.

It's no small feat in this economy.

We are moving to Twin Falls, Idaho.

Where my husband will be selling commercial insurance.

For the Starley-Leavitt Group.

We paid a visit to Twin Falls this past weekend.
It is a beautiful place.

Even 3 hour road trips with Mr. J are an adventure.
In the car I am forced to listen to the rantings of Sean Hannity.

Undoubtedly my narcolepsy kicks in before too long.

Thank heavens.

As if finding employment wasn't thrilling enough.
We decided to base jump off the Snake River Canyon on our way out of town.

Ya right.

But a girl can dream.
My brave husband however, does insist he will one day participate in this foolishness.
Good luck Precious.

**Side note to clients who may be reading this**
I will still be trekking it down to AZ once a month for some quality time in the salon. Don't panic. I am not abandoning you.

75% of the Brown Girls (The lovely Maddy is m.i.a.)

It's Official.

I am only related to attractive people.

Say what you want but I have beautiful family. Beautiful sisters. One fetching brother. One lovely niece. Exquisite cousins. Charming grandmothers. Glamorous Aunts. Elegant mothers. Handsome fathers. One foxy husband. Not to mention my friends and clients that I count as family. It's not just looks that make them attractive. Its the breath-taking souls that are housed by their bodies.

Like I said. I am fortunate to be surrounded by attractive people.

See for yourself. The proof is in the pudding.

During my stay in Arizona I coerced Mysti into letting Bryton and Ivy ditch school last Wednesday.

We spent most of the day adoring baby Rylie.

An hour of the day however, was spent taking these pictures. I am still experimenting with my camera and these girls don't exactly shy away from the lens. They were very prepared with wardrobe changes and posing options.

Thanks for the practice girls. Looking good.

We also took some senior pictures of Taylor. I can't believe she graduates this year.

She is a very talented girl. We took dance photos as well.
